Easter 2020

Some say the corona crisis is a punishment from God.

But I think God is showing us what his kingdom could be like. A simple life without consumption, a lot of time spent with the family and the willingness to help others.

And he is now confronting us with the decision of whether to continue building his kingdom or return to the throw-away society.

He also shows us something else. To date, Corona has killed 2 people of 100,000 people worldwide. This is very sad but just as “negligible” as the pollution of the seas, the warming of the earth or the deforestation of the rainforests. Nevertheless, we place tremendous importance on the corona crisis however we ignore the exploitation and neglect of our planet.

God is now giving us the freedom to choose whether we want to build the kingdom of God or whether we continue to follow mammon.

The invisible hand of the market has miraculously shut down areas of the industry that are not needed. There are politicians who now want to “boost” the economy with “financial injections”, even though they know very well that one must not intervene in the market.

It would be better if people in need were freed from their debts so that they could start over.

There is a lot of fear of unemployment right now but with God’s help the work will be distributed well and justice will finally come.
